Natalia Hals, Owner & Founder
"I consider it an honor and a blessing to work with women and their families at such a special time in their lives."
The first birth I attended was on my sixteenth birthday. At my party I found out that one of my relatives had gone into labor. She had just recently moved to town and her immediate family wasn't there yet. I immediately left my party and stayed with her from the beginning to the end. I couldn't pull myself away from that moment and I have assisted and supported many women in their pregnancies, labors and deliveries ever since.
We hired a doula and experienced wonderful support for the birth of our second daughter. It was from these collective experiences, that the desire to serve women and their families became a calling that I could no longer ignore.

Based on these experiences, and my desire to assist mothers, I embarked upon completing my birth doula certification through DONA International, postpartum doula training through Childbirth International and childbirth educator certification through Lamaze International which provides me with in-depth knowledge and skills.
I have also volunteered as an on-call birth and crisis (for mothers experiencing loss) doula at Woodwinds hospital. It was during this time that I learned that a successful birth experience was not defined by my expectations but by the mother that I was supporting. I also learned how to be prepared for anything and how to work with many different personalities, cultures and beliefs.
I had the opportunity to work with the families and the wonderful midwives at Health Foundations Family Health and Birth Center and gained valuable home and birth center experience.
I am very excited to announce that we opened a childbirth and family education center in Roseville to offer a variety of classes covering the childbearing years. A Woman's Design and Natalia Hals was featured in WomenVenture's website as the WomenVenture Entrepreneur of the Month for April 2015.
Utilizing the experiences gained working across a wide array of clientele and birth environments, I am able to professionally work with your birth plan, assisting mother and father with the most reliable and professional care available.
